My Favorite Amazon Purchases: Part 1

Updated: Jul 14, 2019

My whole family is addicted to Amazon. My dad checks it every day. We have FedEx and UPS coming at least 3 times a week. The prices are good, the customer service is excellent, and no one can beat the shipping times. Here is a round up of my favorite purchases so far. I have bought all of these with my own money and they are things I love and fully recommend.

1. When To Jump by Mike Lewis

This is a collection of interviews with people who chose to "jump" into the life they wanted, and how they did it. When To Jump was a great source of motivation for me to start this blog. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to go after a dream but isn't sure how to start.

2. Rad Women Worldwide by Kate Schatz

Yes, another book. What else did you except from a blog called The Authorette? I love to read. This was actually purchased as a Christmas gift for a family member. Amazon description says "Educational and inspirational, this gift-worthy New York Times bestseller from the authors of Rad American Women A-Z, is a bold, illustrated collection of 40 biographical profiles showcasing extraordinary women from across the globe."

3. InnoGear 2nd Generation 300ml Aromatherapy Essential Oil Diffuser

This is a cold mist essential oil diffuser. Mine is currently sitting on my desk. I use the lavender oil every night. It has 14 color LED that can revolve between colors or you can choose a color to stay solid. It has 3 timer settings, or you can let it run non-stop and it will turn off automatically when the water runs out. It comes with a measuring cup with a pour spout.

4. MiroPure 2 in 1 Ionic Hair Straightener Brush

I had seen these all over the internet and always wondered if they worked. I have very thick, wavy hair. I prefer my hair to be straightened, but it takes forever with a regular straightener. Wouldn't it be magical if we could brush our wavy and curly hair and have it become straight? I was nervous about it. Nothing is ever that easy. Well, to my surprise, it worked perfectly. And it was way quicker than a straightener. I am so happy with the MiroPure Brush! It also comes with a heat resistant glove.

5. DYNAPRO Exercise Ball

As a blogger, I spend a lot of time sitting at a desk. I purchased the exercise ball as a desk chair. When my back is sore, or I just want to bounce while I work, I swap it with my chair. It really helps me with my posture, and I find that bouncing helps me focus. Plus, it is much cheaper than an actual desk chair. Amazon says it can hold the stress of loads up to 2000lbs, and it comes with a handy air pump.

6. Zinus Upholstered Platform Bed and Zinus Memory Foam Mattress

I decided to put these two in one post because I bought them to go together. I hadn't had a headboard in years, and I had never had a pretty and girly one before. The last time I bought a new bed was in college and it had cost me $500 for just a mattress. Plus $70 for the metal square frame with wheels. Now I have a beautiful platform bed that has a headboard and footboard for under $300. The mattress is also by Zinus, and is a 12 inch memory foam green tea mattress. Mine is a queen, which was $189 at the time of purchase. I am a soft bed lover. My back often hurts and I needed something that would conform to my curves. One reviewer said it felt like sleeping on a marshmallow. He had me sold. The mattress comes rolled tightly in a box and will return to full size once laid out. It was an extremely easy set up.

7. 100 Days Of Real Food by Lisa Leake

Lisa is a blogger who cut out processed food and teaches others to do the same. She has several cookbooks with real food recipes. I have used the cookbook many times and my family loves everything I have made. My personal favorites are the sloppy joes(best I've ever had) and the bean burritos. Yum! You can check out her blog at I have been a follower for a couple years now and I am a big fan. If you are trying to eat healthier, this is an easy place to start.

8. How To Ruin Everything: Essays by George Watsky

Last but not least is another book. This is a collection of essays by poet and rapper George Watsky. Also just known as Watsky. This will not be the last you hear of him on this blog. I am a huge fan. His stories are a wild ride that you won't want to stop reading. He has a way with words that travel from his book, to his poetry, and to his music. I find him to be a genius of our time. It is a must read.

That is all for my favorite Amazon purchases right now. I could go on for days about what I buy from them. This list covers things I use quite often and have recommended to friends and family. And strangers. I love these products. I hope you enjoyed reading and maybe find something that will make you as happy as it has made me. Thanks for reading!
